If you have a Genin character then is mandatory that you sign them up for Genin Squad; Squads consist of three Genin team-mates (two boys and one girl) and a Jounin sensei. Once you have been put into a team, the names consisting of the team will be posted on the Genin Squad thread located in the village's training grounds (or just in the village board for any non 5 Nation teams). All members will be notified via PM, then it's up to the sensei from then on.

Only Jounin who are not currently working for the ANBU can have a Genin Squad; Missing-Nin at Jounin level cannot have a team, either (that is, until they settle down into a village). Not all Jounin have to have a team, but if you have enough time, and feel up to it, then please do so!
